Learning Framework

Strength-based learning focuses on identifying and nurturing the innate talents and interests of twice-exceptional learners—students who have both advanced abilities and learning challenges. By centering instruction around their strengths, these students experience greater engagement and motivation, which can lead to heightened academic success and personal growth. This approach shifts the narrative from focusing on deficits to amplifying what these students excel at, offering them opportunities to feel capable and confident in their learning environment.

Dual-differentiation is especially effective for twice-exceptional learners because it simultaneously addresses their advanced cognitive abilities and their learning challenges. Through tailored instruction that balances both enrichment and support, dual-differentiation ensures that students are neither bored by material that is too easy nor overwhelmed by what is too difficult. This method offers a flexible framework that allows for intellectual stimulation while accommodating specific needs such as executive function deficits, ADHD, or sensory sensitivities.
